Allied Group USA Inc. learned our trade in commercial construction. Allied Group‘s experience spans 25 years of constructing shopping
centers, office buildings, development, potable and waste water plants to name a few. All technologies are chemical free and enhance
nature. Allied Group, for the last 10 years, has focused on the following three niche market segments.
These three segments are:
Water
Changing weather conditions are limiting the supply of water. Industries (utilities, manufacturing, agriculture,
aquaculture, farming, industrial, mining along with canals, and lakes) are faced with not only water shortages but also
nutrient loading causing pollution in lakes, rivers, estuaries, commercial processes as well as our basic supply (the aquifer.)
The effects of nutrient loading are fish and water critter “kills“, toxicity, reduced dissolved oxygen, death of sea grass
and accumulation of muck/sediment at the bottom of all bodies of water.
Nutrient loading follows many paths from storm systems, discharges by public or private entities, sheet flow, rain and more.
Therefore, Allied Group‘s technology is engineered to remove nutrient loading at the source.
Allied Group‘s focus is to eliminate or reduce utility COD assessments, remove phosphorus and nitrates in storm systems,
sheet flow, utilities, open bodies of water or discharges from any source.
Cities, counties, corporations are required reduce discharges. This standard is set by regulatory agencies. Success or failure
is measured, in pounds, by phosphorus and nitrates removed. Removal or reduction in nutrient loading is Allied Group‘s purpose.
Allied Group‘s ability is to provide nutrient removal solutions not only to meet client goals but also to create excess removal
in order to provide net seller benefits.
Energy
Everyone has or should have a sustainability plan to conserve and reduce energy costs along with our
carbon footprint. Allied Group has 25 years of experience of reducing energy consumption. Clients include theme parks, restaurants,
hotels, agriculture, aquaculture, fish farms, bakeries, utilities and many other industries.
Typical results include utility bills reductions of 8% to12%. Return on investment range from 12 to 24 months.
Allied Group brings these results with our own patented technology or with exclusive sole source solutions.
Refrigeration
Refrigeration is a major energy user for many businesses. It also requires temperature to be maintained or else the business'
inventory will spoil. Hotels, Restaurants and other businesses look to Allied Group USA to increase their cooler and freezer efficiencies
since these cost directly reduce their bottom line.
Allied Group carries several different technologies that directly reduce cooler and freezer operating costs.
Clean and plentiful water provides the foundation for prosperous communities. We rely on clean water to survive, yet right now we are heading
towards a water crisis. Increasing population, chemical infiltration of water sources and other reasons are causing a strain on currently
available water. Key sources of water that we use for drinking water or recreational purposes are being overdrawn or tainted with pollutants
such as nitrates and phosphorous.
Allied Group USA, Inc. is working to clean up the pollutants and provide clean water for people and the environment by:
• Introducing non-chemical methods of cleaning and purifying runoff water;
• Testing and installing alternative methods of purifying large bodies of water;
• Ensuring that waterways have clean water to support vibrant aquatic ecosystems.
Protecting Clean Water
Dirty water is the world's biggest health risk, and continues to threaten both quality of life and public health in the United States.
When water from rain runs off roofs and roads into our rivers, it picks up toxic chemicals, dirt, trash and disease-carrying
organisms along the way. Many of our water resources also lack basic protections, making them vulnerable to pollution from factory farms,
industrial plants, and activities like fracking. This can lead to drinking water contamination, habitat degradation and beach closures.
Allied Group USA, Inc is working to protect our water from pollution by:
• Working to ensure pollution control programs are available for all important waterways, including headwater streams and wetlands;
• Improving technology to reduce pollutants like bacteria and viruses, which threaten the health and well being of animal life;
• Using technology to solve problems caused by runoff and sewage overflows.
Preserving Water Ecosystems
Fish, birds and wildlife depend on clean water, just as people do. Allied Group USA is working to protect and restore important waterways to ensure that there
is enough water flowing to keep these ecosystems intact and functioning. In the Lake Apopka -- the third largest lake in Florida -- we are testing methods
that can restore the lake to it's natural state by removing the toxins and pollution that has accummulated over the past decades. We are currently testing
two different techniques that can be used in the future to clean lake, rivers and streams.
Efficient energy use, sometimes simply called energy efficiency, is the goal to reduce the amount of energy required to provide products and
services. For example, insulating a home allows a building to use less heating and cooling energy to achieve and maintain a comfortable
temperature. Installing fluorescent lights or natural skylights reduces the amount of energy required to attain the same level of illumination
compared with using traditional incandescent light bulbs. Compact fluorescent lights use one-third the energy of incandescent lights and may
last from 6 to 10 times longer. Improvements in energy efficiency are generally achieved by adopting a more efficient technology or
production process or by application of commonly accepted methods to reduce energy losses.
Reducing Costs
There are many motivations to improve energy efficiency. Reducing energy use reduces energy costs and may result in a financial cost saving
to consumers if the energy savings offset any additional costs of implementing an energy efficient technology. Reducing energy use is also
seen as a solution to the problem of reducing carbon dioxide emissions. According to the International Energy Agency, improved energy
efficiency in buildings, industrial processes and transportation could reduce the world's energy needs in 2050 by one third, and help control
global emissions of greenhouse gases.
Sustainability
Energy efficiency and renewable energy are said to be the twin pillars of sustainable energy policy and are high priorities in the
sustainable energy hierarchy. In many countries energy efficiency is also seen to have a national security benefit because it can be
used to reduce the level of energy imports from foreign countries and may slow down the rate at which domestic energy resources are depleted.
For some organizations refrigeration costs can represent over 50 per cent of their energy bill. A modern and energy-efficient
refrigeration system will help save you money. But you don't need to buy any new equipment - just following some simple advice
can deliver big energy savings. We recommend the following carbon and cost saving refrigeration measures:
Reduce wastage
Minimise the money you need to spend on refrigeration by reducing the heat loads on your systems. You can do this by reducing
air infiltration e.g. by improving door management, using night blinds or strip curtains, and switching off lights in the cooled
space. In larger systems, you can reduce heat loads by using free cooling, raising process temperatures and improving control of
auxiliary equipment such as pumps and fans.
Temperature control
Only cool to the temperature you need - every 1°C saved could reduce your energy consumption by two per cent.
Maintenance
Well-maintained refrigeration systems almost always use significantly less energy. Make sure you regularly service your units,
as well as checking that condensers and evaporators are kept clean and fans and defrost systems are working correctly. For example,
poor maintenance can increase condensing temperature or reduce evaporating temperature by several degrees, resulting in an increase
in energy use of up to 10%.
Temperature control
Don't overdo the refrigeration. You can save money by only cooling a unit down to the temperature you need.
Keep doors closed
Make sure doors aren't left open for longer than absolutely necessary. This sounds simple, but means that loading and unloading
tasks have to be carefully organised. Also, make sure all the doors on a unit have well-fitting seals that are fully intact.
Don't overfill
A unit will be most efficient if it is not overfilled (there has to be room for the cool air to circulate). Product should not
block the grilles at the front of a retail display cabinet or obstruct the airflow to and from the coolers in cold rooms, as this
will increase energy consumption and compromise food temperatures. For example, overloading display cabinets can increase their
energy consumption by up to 20%.
Location of unit
Where possible, keep your refrigeration units far away from any sources of heat (including direct sunlight) and draughts.
For example, severe draughts can increase the energy consumption of open fronted display cabinets by up to 95%. You'll need
to leave space around the unit's vents so it can draw in and expel air.
Lighting control
Make sure any lights inside the unit are switched off when it's not in use or outside of trading hours.
Temperature management
Make sure the product loaded into your display cabinets or cold rooms hasn't warmed up by being left in an ambient temperature area.
Condenser cleaning
Make sure the condenser of any integral display cabinets is kept clean. This will help it last longer, consume less energy and
chill faster. You can use a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner to remove all dust and debris, taking care not to damage the unit. You
won't need a refrigeration contractor for this.
